Rob done a great job clearing a garden of shrubs , roots and various concrete slabs of different thicknesses and then levelling the soil for us to continue. What Rob and his digger achieved in a day would have taken our months! Excellent value…..highly recommended.

I contracted Rob and his mini digger to run a trench for a new water supply along a narrow passage to the side of my house. It turned out to be a really tricky job as we had to navigate the existing mains, roots, sewage pipes, and gas supply. All of the existing services are my responsibility, but Rob gave excellent advice and his skill with the digger meant he was able to dig pretty close to some of the pipework, leaving me little to do by hand. The job was done in little over half a day and saved me over £1.5k vs moling a new supply. The water board passed the work and took pictures to use as an example of how to do it properly!

Rob is also a genuinely nice guy who was a pleasure to work with for the day, which is a big bonus.

Rob managed to complete 20m of trenching for a new hedge; stump removal, leveling and digging a new soakaway hole, trenching for driveway drainage and even fitted in two massive tree planting holes, all in a day !
He is prompt, personable, knowledgable and very skilled with a mini digger. Don't even think about renting one and and doing it yourself, call Rob.

Rob took very good care of getting the mini digger in and out through our neighbours property, there is no trace of it. His mini digger skills are fantastic and we have exactly what we were looking for in our garden. He's also full of knowledge and experience that helped us decide the design of the garden. Rob is very easy to get on with and lovely to work with. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Rob responded promptly when I got in touch and was very helpful. He arrived promptly with his digger and worked really hard for the day levelling our garden and moving a number of trees. He was reasonably priced, full of useful advice, worked really hard and we achieved a lot more with the digger for the day than we would have achieved on our own in the day. We are delighted with the work that Rob and his team carried out on our driveway and front garden. It looks better than we had imagined it. The block paving and the edging look really good. Just a big thanks for turning out and working a wet Saturday leveling and excavating for my new Greenhouse. It was a really difficult job with heavy clay and a bit of a run with the barrow to the skip (about 25mtrs).

Asked Robert to clear some conifers, put up a fence and create a patio area. What a lovely job was done! We could not be happier with end result, and Robert ensured work was done to a high standard and the clear up was perfect. Reasonably priced too, would highly recommend.

Having seen first hand the result of Rob's work on several neighbours properties I had no hesitation in asking him to do some work for us. I asked him to lay a new driveway and garden landscaping to the front (to my design) and also to repair an unsightly patio to the rear.
Rob suggested various alternatives for drive brickwork that were better than I had first thought of and suffice to say the result of both front and back is fantastic. We are delighted with the result and have had so many comments on how good it looks.

I am not a gardener but love having a garden. I asked Rob to design and build me a space that I can use without feeling guilty that I don't have any desire to be a gardener. And he did - in spades (excuse the pun). New fence, bark and shale, path, shed and plant removal - it is so beautiful I nearly cried when I saw the finished space. It's perfect, absolutely perfect. So if you need anything doing in your garden I can't recommend Rob enough - just make sure he can get to the tea and biscuits!

Rob came and worked on our front and back gardens for 2 weeks in which he has totally transformed them and made our house feel much more like a home. He followed our instructions to the letter and made some suggestions on how to enhance our plans which we took on board. We are very pleased with the final result.

Rob with the help of his son Ryan laid us a block paving driveway with a sweeping path. They worked so hard through the hottest days of the year and the quality of the work is very high!

Robert Hughes has recently completed the construction of a 30m curved path and seating area suitable for wheelchair use in our garden.
He is an expert in garden construction and his work is of the highest quality, the curves being skilfully and beautifully executed.

Rob has restored our patio to look brand new. The jointing between the stones was cracked and many stones lose due to poor workmanship by the original contractor. Beautiful patio.

Robert combined his expert skill, knowledge and with an aesthetic eye took our demanding vision of a curved patio and made it work. It was a tricky series of curves that needed to blend together and make various shaped flower beds. Robert was great fun and easy to have around. Rob has just completed a new drive and several paths and patios for us and the results are brilliant. We already had a very established garden, full of plants and trees. Rob helped us design a new garden that incorporated the existing planting with a sunken circular patio plus new pathways and other patio areas. At the front of the house Rob has built us a new drive which incorporates areas that were previously planted plus the area slopes in several directions. We could not be more pleased with the results. Rob is a true craftsman and his attention to detail is second to none. Rob also advised us on the materials that are available and together we have selected those that really enhance our home and garden. Throughout the whole process Rob has been totally reliable, to the point that we left him our house keys whilst we were on holiday. During the work, the site was always left very tidy overnight and Rob was very considerate of our neighbours who access their property over a shared drive.
