Driveways by Robert Hughes Garden Landscaping & Construction

A driveway is a great way of adding value to your property and guaranteeing yourselves somewhere to park when you get home from work.  There are loads of options available to you and more importantly, turning your front garden into a driveway doesn’t have to mean it doesn’t look like a garden any more.

Brick/Block Paved Driveways

If you’re looking for something more decorative, a block paved driveway could be for you.  Using 3 sizes of tegula block paving setts laid in a random pattern, you’ll be left with a beautifully smooth driveway that the neighbours will be truly jealous of.

Shingle Driveways

For those on a budget, a simple shingle driveway is an incredibly cost-effective way of transforming some or all of your front garden into usable parking space.  Not only is it maintenance-free (when laid by a professional who uses the correct underlay to make sure weeds won’t come through), it makes the lovely, reassuring crunching sound when you pull onto it!

Combine any style of driveway with an interesting design and dedicated planting borders (if space allows), and you’ll have a practical parking space that still looks nice and still feels like a garden.

Driveway and front lawn

We are delighted with the work that Rob and his team carried out on our driveway and front garden. It looks better than we had imagined it. The block paving and the edging look really good. Many positive comments and admiration from the neighbours, too. The new lawn is bedding in well and looking healthy. We are very pleased with the whole job. An absolute transformation to the front of the house giving it much more 'kerb appeal' now. Couldn't wish for better!

That's lovely to hear, Allen! I'm happy you're so pleased with the final result - I certainly had a lot of people stop to compliment the work while it was being constructed!
